Workshops with me...

Hello! Come and do a workshop with me on Zoom. When booking onto a workshop, I will send you a short video outlining exactly what you need for that particular project. Most of the projects will require you to have the following: - A felting mat - Needles I use triangular needles, they are sometimes described as coarse, medium or fine, or they are sold in gauges. If you are going needle shopping. this is what to look for: (Course) Gauge 36 is good for starting and joining pieces (Medium) Gauge 38 is useful for firming and shaping. (Fine) Gauge 40 can be used for details and smoothing. If you only have one type of needle a nice medium needle will do (gauge 38). Multi tools can be useful, just to speed things up a bit. There are lots of different types, a tool that holds 2 needles is useful. A tool that holds more than 4 is not necessary. Wire - I use wire in most of my projects, not the very bendy aluminium, but something a little stiffer, like floristry wire or garden wire. Steel armature wire is probably the most versatile, but any wire will usually do. PVA glue such as Elmers - very useful. Some eyes - 3/4mm are good sizes for a lot of projects.

care instructions

I make my pieces from 100 natural and dyed wool. Please look after your piece with this in mind, keeping it away from direct sunlight and damp areas where moths might like a feast. The pieces can be lightly vacuumed but not pulled or picked out. If there are fuzzy bits that you want rid of just trim with scissors.
